NFL Draft Order Officially Announced

The end of Week 17 marks an important point in the NFL season. The regular season is complete, the playoff picture is set, and the draft order begins to take shape.

Earlier today, the NFL officially announced the order for the 2011 draft from picks 1-20. Here is the list, according to NFL.com.

1. Carolina Panthers (2-14)
2. Denver Broncos (4-12)
3. Buffalo Bills (4-12)
4. Cincinnati Bengals (4-12)
5. Arizona Cardinals (5-11)
6. Cleveland Browns (5-11)
7. San Francisco 49ers (6-10)
8. Tennessee Titans (6-10)
9. Dallas Cowboys (6-10)
10. Washington Redskins (6-10)
11. Houston Texans (6-10)
12. Minnesota Vikings (6-10)
13. Detroit Lions (6-10)
14. Miami Dolphins (7-9)
15. St. Louis Rams (7-9)
16. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8)
17. New England Patriots (from Oakland Raiders) (8-8)
18. San Diego Chargers (9-7)
19. New York Giants (10-6)
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-6)

A few notes about the draft order:
- The top 20 picks in this year's draft features two 10-6 teams, the Giants and Buccaneers. This is the first time the top 20 has a 10-6 team since the 2006 NFL Draft, when the Chiefs picked 20th after going 10-6 during the 2005 season and missing the playoffs.
- Three of the top 10 teams - the Panthers, Browns and 49ers - will have new head coaches in 2011. The Bengals, TItans, Dolphins and Jaguars could also fire their head coach. The Cowboys and Vikings appear close to removing the interim title from their current coaches.
